David Buck
Director Agile Development and .NET
Mr. Buck is a senior software developer with over 20 years experience in software
development. He has provided object oriented training, mentoring, and consulting
to organizations across North America. He has been promoting Agile development
since 1983 (before it was even called agile development). He has implemented
a unit testing framework for one client and two frameworks for performing automated
user interface testing. He has consulted for many companies including MCI, Desjardins,
Kintetsu World Express, EDC, and the Canadian Border Services Agency.
He is also known as a technical trainer and has presented courses in Smalltalk
and in Object Oriented techniques. He has made presentations at Smalltalk Solutions,
local user groups, and to various companies across North America. Mr. Buck is
a founding member of the Ottawa .NET Users Group (now called the Ottawa .NET
Community) and continues to participate in group events. He holds a BCS (Bachelors
of Computer Science) and MCS (Masters of Computer Science) from Carleton University.
