Nortel Networks Preside Network Management
This project involved the invention of a comprehensive visual language to allow network operators to manage complex multi-vendor telecom networks. The language enables operators to quickly and easily identify hundreds of specific network traffic and equipment problems and can be applied to both logical and physical network entities to rapidly identify and isolate topology or traffic problems. The language was patented and licensed to iLog. It forms the foundation of their JTGO product. The visual language has become the defacto industry standard and the licensing agreement generates over $1M annually.
