Rapid eLearning Development Process
Our Rapid eLearning Development Process dramatically simplifies and automates the typical course development workflow. As a result, we are able to deliver a better quality eLearning course in less time and at less cost. The process combines traditional instructional systems design with rapid prototyping and automation techniques. As a result, this approach:
- allows everyone to "see" a final working course at any point in the development cycle. This means that we can actually identify and resolve any problems with structure, layout, learning or interaction earlier in the design cycle.
- provides us with the flexibility to reorganization and restructure materials at any point in the design cycle without excessive impact on schedules or costs.
- allows us to add interactions without cumbersome programming. This means we can add more interactivities and produce a more engaging final product
- lets everyone review and track changes electronically. All of our courses can be edited by either the designer or client using Microsoft Word.
- allows us to generate CBT or SCORM output from a single source
- allows us to support incremental multi-language development. For example, you can develop and deliver your course in a single language version then simply add other languages as the translations become available. Learners are then able to switch languages "on-the-fly" at any point in a course on a per page basis.

Analysis Phase
In this Analysis phase, we work with you to identify the financial,
time and technology constraints and to determine the learning needs or requirements
of the project. For example, what is the expected return-on-investment? What
are the success metrics? Do you already have a learning management platform?
Does your course need to be SCORM compliant? Are you planning to deliver the
course via the Internet or via CDROM? In addition to these constraints, we also
work with you to develop the learning objectives for the course by identifying
who your learners are, what they need to learn and how they want to learn it.
Design Phase
In the Design phase, we outline the course using an iterative storyboarding
technique. In the intial phase, we develop a high-level storyboard outline that
describes the lessons. In each successive pass, more detail is added to the
storyboard fleshing out the text, graphics and interactions for the course.
Our tools allow us to generate a final course directly from the storyboard at
any time during the development process. As a result, clients can review and
modify course appearance, navigation and interactivity at any point in the design
process. So instead of just reviewing static paper-based storyboards, you can
also review the actual course output in XHTML or even SCORM format.
Implementation Phase
In the Implementation phase, we bring together a team of multimedia
experts to bring your course to life! These skills include illustration, animation,
video production, graphic design, interaction design, web design and development,
multimedia programming, writing and editing, voice talent, and language translation.
Verification Phase
In the Verification phase, we test your course. Internal quality assurance
verification is used to identify and correct minor problems (e.g. incorrect
links, typos, etc). Pilot usability tests are used to identify and resolve any
potential learning or usability problems.
